About Paul

Paul is a highly experienced, knowledgeable and empathic Career Coach, Consultant and Trainer who has delivered advice guidance and coaching to numerous people of all ages and backgrounds. In recent years he has specialised in working with mid-career changers, experienced professionals dealing with redundancy, and university graduates.

As well as working as a Careers Adviser, Paul has been a manager of several university careers services, a company director, and a university lecturer. He currently lectures on Coventry University’s MA/QCG qualification for careers and employability practitioners, and as an expert trainer for the Career Development Institute. He has also edited or contributed to a number of national careers publications.

Paul has a Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance, a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and is a qualified practitioner for Psychometric (cognitive and personality) tests.

Paul will work with you to identify your unique combination of skills, aspirations, knowledge, experience and values to decide on a way forward and to co-create a career vision and plan of action including short and longer-term actions.

He will also support you to access trustworthy sources of career information and job vacancies in the career fields you are interested in Paul can also help you to confidently market yourself to potential employers through the development of a strong CV and intensive support in preparing for job interviews, including strategies for handling presentations and psychometric tests.

Paul’s consultations are entirely confidential and focussed on meeting your needs.

Step 2: Discovery session

You can arrange a free 20 minute Discovery session with Paul to talk through your ideas and queries and to decide what combination of services might be best for you

Step 3: Face-to-face or virtual sessions

Paul’s career consultations and training sessions are normally available in person or virtually. Due to the current pandemic, however, all services are offered online only (via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Skype)
